Dear Sankarsana Prabhu,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila
Prabhupada and all glories to your ecstatic service to him.
All glories to your Vyasa puja celebration.
You
are a shining example of Srila Prabhupada's desire for his
disciples and I read your daily travels, preaching and so
forth with great interest and amazement at what you have
created by his mercy! My humble obeisances to Srimati
Visnupriya as well who is accompanying and serving you in so
many ways.
May
you continue to bless so many people all over the world with
Krsna Consciousness so that they may become happy and go
back home back to Godhead. May Sri Danvantari bless you with
good health (I hope you are feeling better) and may Sri
Radharani bless you with love and compassion.
Yours in humble service to Srila Prabhupada,

From Alpha
Dear Gurudeva,
All glories to Srila
Prabhupada.
On this day of
your auspicious appearance into this world, please accept my
humble offering of thanksgiving to Krishna for the gift of
your being. Honestly, I feel a bit lost as to how to
celebrate this truly blest day. Vyas Puja, and other special
times of the year like 'Kartik', etc., seem so foreign to
me, given my Catholic background. I realize I have so much
to learn since these are part of the Hindu culture.
My dear Guru, in the light
of your generous self-giving so others would see the light
of truth about God, I feel truly small and undeserving. I
must be your most weak student. Friends send me so much
reading materials about the Catholic Faith and the more
I
read them, the more I feel torn and indecisive. The
conclusions one arrives at through mental speculations
alone are truly not enough proof as to where real truth
lies. The only thing now that makes me see that Truth lies
in the science of Krishna consciousness is the fruit it
bears. Being faithful to the chanting and the eating of
prasadam feel so powerful that I get through the day without
irritation or anger which I have previously been always
experiencing due to the overwhelming demands of being a wife
and mother. No amount of recited prayers from my former
prayer books (Catholic) give me this spiritual strength and
nourishment.
How I wish I can offer you
some financial support for your preaching ministry, but
I
truly have nothing now. I am a housewife and have no
earnings of my own. Maybe in the near future...
I pray for your recovery
from sickness...
your humble student,

I am following your World Tour with great interest. It is
totally amazing and awesome to me that, you remain so calm
even in the worst situations and seek every opportunity to
detach from the material body and world.
Examples are your sickness at holy Vrindavan, flight delays,
and slow internet connection and I am sure there will be
some more local issues in India or temple management or as
simple as cleanliness.
Normally people get snubbed or exasperated at material
things when they do not work according to their wishes.
You have converted all these petite to have more Krishna
prema and renunciation.
I offer my obeisances to you on this day of Vyasa puja.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

From Aruna
My dear Guruji,
Please accept my humble
obeisances.
Oct 27th is indeed an
auspicious day, for Krishna brought you to earth.
I'd like to offer my
thoughts on your presence in my life:
I was born a sturdy
branch, perched high on a banyan tree - a branch with
beautiful peepul leaves, which were my limbs, my mind, my
thoughts, my consciousness.
My family, the banyan tree,
was deeply rooted in Krishna's kingdom, spreading gently,
growing branches, turning to roots, the roots finding their
way back to earth.
My purpose as a branch with
the beautiful heart shaped leaves was to shade, shelter and
protect. Shade and protect weary travelers, shelter
everybody who decided to stop and spend some restful time,
and shade, shelter, protect all God' s creatures that
dwelled in the tree.
Then my direction in life
was to develop into a root, wind downward and find God
residing in Mother Earth, thus, building on the breadth of
the banyan tree.
But I decided to travel a
different path.
My beautiful heart shaped
leaves decided to fly out on their own, floating away, and
landing in a pile of trash full of muck, rotting vegetation,
and dirt.
Instead of shading my
husband and sheltering my children, I seared them with bad
personal habits, anger, scathing words.
Instead of developing into
a root to find God in Mother Earth, I embarked on seeking
material gratification.
Till Guruji found me.
Like a gentle whiff of
breeze, he fills my mornings with nectarean words.
He is helping me dust off
the muck, rotting vegetation and dirt from my beautiful
heart shaped leaves so that I may protect my children and
shelter my husband.
He is helping me develop my
roots so I may find God.
I pray that my heart shaped
leaves now fulfill their goal in life - to shine with luster
and lay on the ground so that the lotus feet of my Guruji
may step on them.
Your humble servant,
Aruna.

Hare Krishna,
Please accept my humble
obeisances Guru Maharaja, All Glories to Srila Prabhupada.
On this most auspicious
occasion of your Vyasa Puja celebrations, I take this
opportunity to pray Lord Narasimha Dev and Sri Sri Radha
Damodara to bless you with good health, long life and to
remove all the obstacles, if at all any, from your path of
selfless preaching activities, in order to relieve as much
conditioned souls as possible from their life of ignorance.
Gurudev, I am an insignificant disciple of Srila Jayapathaka
Swami Maharaja from Maturadesh, and I get a lot of inspiration
from your daily messages. I also make it a point to
pass this nectar on to various new devotees while we have
our regular satsanga. We discuss about your preaching
activities traveling around the world and your sound
and unflinching faith in Srila Prabhupada which are really
motivational factors for all the people in our Parampara.
We, the devotees in
Maturadesh look forward to have an opportunity for your
physical association.
Please accept this as an
offering from this insignificant son on the occasion of your
Vyasa Puja celebrations, though belated. Please bless us
so that we can progress in this spiritual path and render
little service to Srila Prabhupada's movement.
Hare Krishna,

Today
is Your Vyasa Puja Day and I would like to express my
gratitude to You.
The
Kartik has become the loveliest and the same time the very
important period in my life. Last Year at the end of October
I met You and Mataji at first and that became the very
beginning of my spiritual life in the Krishna consciousness.
I'm very happy about it and beholden indeed Lord Krsna that
He is given me so invaluable chance to meet such glorious,
auspicious, Vedic sciential, unselfish, throughout unique
and the same time so humble person like You.
Please
let me give You my very humble obeisances to Your lotus feet.
Please
accept from me at this wonderful Vyasa Puja Day the crop of
the very white and the very aromatic petal mixed with my
very grateful love, alone what a pity, today it's possible
only in my mind…

Vyas Puja Offering to a
Great Vaisnava
Dear Prabhuji,
Please accept my humble
obeisances at the dust of Your divine lotus feet. All
glories to Guru and Srila Prabhupada!. All glories to you,
the spiritual revolutionary, a great Vaisnava disciple of
Srila Prabhupada!
Prabhu, today is your Vyas
Puja day. I am not your disciple (I am the disciple of H H Gopal Krsna Goswami Maharaj), and
I don't know if it is
appropriate to write. But I know for sure what my Guru
Maharaj said that by serving and glorifying the Vaisnavas we
get purification and instructions to progress in Krishna
Consciousness. So, here I am, trying without any
qualification being inefficient and wordless to glorify a
Vaisnava like you!
Prabhu, I have been reading
the thought of the day for sometime and I have come to know
you through your mails and thoughts. Srila Prabhupada's
desire was to spread Krishna Consciousness in the nook and
corner of the world. You are really really serving Srila
Prabhupada from your heart and acts. You are taking so much
pain to deliver so many fallen souls and fulfill the desire
of Srila Prabhupada. No body would have ever thought that through
internet we can communicate worldwide the timeless message
of Krishna Consciousness and you did that. You have students
registered throughout the world and just by email
correspondences you have made people aware of the futile
nature of material world. You are even guiding them in their
spiritual endeavours. You make yourself freely available to
everyone for consulting on spiritual matters through email,
phone or even one-to-one meetings. That's why you are now
on a world preaching tour and despite so many difficulties you
are reaching to all.
Prabhu, Vaisnavas are very
very compassionate and you are an example of that. It is
said that on the Vyas Puja Day, the Vaisnava are more
compassionate than other days and hence I would like to ask
for Your divine blessings so that I can be always engaged in
the service of My Guru Maharaj and Vaisnavas and satisfy
them, make them happy through service.
Please forgive me for any
offense,
Your servant,
Harihara Das
Prabhuji, I will be coming to
Sri Dham Vrindavan on 4th and 5th November. Please grant me
permission to have Your Darshan.

My
dear Srila Gurudeva Sankarshan Das Adhikari,
Please
accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila
Prabhupada!
Like
it is stated in BG 2:7, now I am confused about my duty and
in my ignorance I have lost all composure because of this
weakness. In this condition I am asking You to please tell
me clearly how I can serve you best and what is best for me.
Now I am Your aspiring disciple and a soul surrendered unto
You. Please instruct me.
The
only glorification I can surrender unto you in this short
time is the mantra for the guru, for my Guru Maharaj:
om
anjnana-timirandhasya
jnananjana-salakaya
caksur
unmilitam yena
tasmai
sri-gurave namah"
Please
accept this from me.
My
dear Master I want to please you, I’m striving to please
you, I am trying to please you. How can I do this? I feel so
unworthy.
All
glories to you!
Humbly
I bow down my head unto your lotus feet and beg for your
mercy and instruction.

Happy appearance day, Sankarshan prabhu. I want to see you
more and more because you are very dear to me.
I have got one question. How should we progress in Krishna
consciousness? Should we read books and follow them or
can we ask also older devotees? I am quite sad. But at the
same time
happy that I can write You, so that you can see how I am
doing.
Big love is Krishna who holds us and hugs us. He is the most
beautiful. Same to you, very dear Sankarshan Prabhu..

HARE KRISHNA GURUDEVA
All Glories to Srila
Prabhupada.
Kindly accept my humble
obeisances
All Glories at your
Lotus Feet.
On this auspicious day
of your Divine Appearance in the month of Kartik in this
material world, let me pay homage at the dust of your lotus
feet and beg for your mercy.
In Lord Caitanya’s
teachings to Srila Sanatana Goswami, He has said:
mahat
krpa vina karme “bhakti naya
krsna-bhakti dure
rahu, samsare nahre ksaya
“Unless one is
favoured by a pure devotee, one cannot attain the platform
of devotional service. To say nothing of krsna-bhakti, one
cannot be relieved from the bondage of material existence”
(CC Madhya 22.51)
Gurudeva, without your
mercy , just like many lost souls in this material world, I
would be lost in the unending darkness in this material
world. Only by receiving your mercy, (you, a pure devotee of
Lord Krishna), Gurudev, it is possible to develop the
eligibility to engage in devotional service. Although I am
not qualified to receive your mercy, you are compassionate
to shower your mercy by sending me your daily transcendental
emails as well as your valued guidance to allow me to
continue serving Srila Prabhupada's mission.. I have much to
learn in this process of Krishna Consciousness. You are
traveling and teaching by example regardless of your
discomforts. I thank you for your dedication. Srila
Prabhupada has surely blessed you with Bhakti.
Gurudev, thank you for
your personal care and spiritual advice via your e-mails.
Although, we have never met, I always feel that you are
guiding my actions in my daily spiritual life. By Lord
Krishna’s arrangement we will someday meet .
Gurudev, Today, we
celebrate your appearance day together with your disciples
around the world. I pay my obeisances unto you on this
auspicious day of your appearance and all the Vaisnavas’
who so like yourself serve this only worthy cause of Krishna
Bhakti by the mercy of His Divine Grace Srila
Prabhupada.

My Dear Srila Gurudeva,
Please accept my humble obeisances at your lotus feet. All
Glories to Srila Prabhupada.
Srila Gurudev this is my third year of my life and by
Krishna's Grace I am getting your association.
Though I do not understand the high philosophy that you
speak but what I have learned is I imitate you at home. I
have named a game called "Gurudeva Game". I sit on the
vyas aasan (a small pillow at home), then I recite the
Om Bhagavate Vasudevaya Namah then I take either a
Bhagavatam book or Bhagavad Gita and act as if I am reading
some verse, then I drink the water just as you drink. Once
my mother was busy in her work and was not paying attention
to my Bhagavatam class so I had to chastise her to come and
sit and attend the class. Please bless me that I can follow
in your footsteps all throughout my life and take shelter of
Krishna at every moment of my life.

All
Glories to Sri Sri Gaura Nitai.
Dear
Gurudeva,
On
this auspicious day, I hope you will accept these belated
obeisances at your lotus feet.
I AM
in the darkest ignorance of material life.
You
ARE trying desperately to open my darkened eyes with the
torchlight of knowledge, but my eyes are firmly closed in my
sleep in the lap of Maya Devi.
Om

I pray
for the day that when I will truly understand your
instructions and follow them with the utmost joy in my
heart.
It is my
greatest misfortune that it has never occurred to me to
consider myself your disciple. You at least have always
considered me so, regardless of my ignorance.
I have
always held back on these occasions thinking myself
unworthy and unable, without realizing that this is indeed
my eternal condition and yet I have to follow guru and
sastra to continue receiving your mercy.
I am
still chanting regularly and attempting to increase my
chanting and concentration.
I
still often get carried away on waves of hatred, anger and
confusion, but slowly coming to understand the concept of
always being equipoised in distress or happiness.

From
Dr Meena Samtani
Dear
Sankarshan Das Adhikari Prabhuji,
Please
Accept my humble Obeisances,
All
Glories to Srila Prabhupada.
First
of all let me wish you “HAPPY BIRTHDAY”.
May
Krsna fulfill all your desires.
May
you attain Vaikuntha….(so you can reserve seats for all your
disciples!!.. just joking)
I was
in search of a Guru who I could be in touch with easily, who
could guide me to Krsna and I don’t remember how I got your
website. Maybe Krsna made me browse and introduced you to
me, through your self realization course and thought for the
day.
I was
surprised and happy at your quick response. I have been
reading your email regularly and they have always inspired
me and guided me .
We are
born as a disciple, when the Lords Grace comes to us through
his agent called the Guru. I consider you as one of my Guru.
On
your saying I gave up the difficult task of satisfying my
relatives by eating what they eat- namely veg food with
onion and garlic. I was scared of their response and thought
I would have a tough time with them. But by Gods grace and
your grace , it was handled with little problem. Now they
have accepted and cook food without Onion and garlic.
Even
in Africa, we were in Nairobi, a country where I had no
friends and relatives. We had to fly down from Rwanda to
Nairobi in the midnight air ambulance, as no CT Scan was
available in Rwanda to diagnose my husbands brain
hemorrhage and facial fractures. In spite of that, I got food
without onion and garlic- all veg food, dahls , salads etc.
That was a Miracle!!! All thanks to you and Krsna. This
episode taught me that if there is a will, there is a way!!
And why fear when Krsna is Near.
No
spiritual practice can be conclusive without the Guru's
grace. His Compassion uplifts the seeker from the pangs of
relativity. You lifted me from sense gratification of the
tongue and attachment to
relatives. Thank you.
Chisel
and Hammer are used to carve a beautiful Krsna out of a hard
rock. So also the Guru gives hard knocks to bring out the
best in a disciple. Being confident and having faith in
your instructions, I am becoming a better person gradually.
Thank you.
I hope
I can continue to have your blessings, guidance and
association eternally.
To
jump into spiritual life is easy, to sustain that momentum
is difficult. It is the guru who keeps up the momentum of
the seeker, in spite of the pitfalls.
I hope
you continue pushing me when I go slow and pull me up when I
fall down.
I am
thankful to Mataji also for giving a warm motherly support.
Her face is always smiling and full of grace and mercy.
Kindly
bless my family so they can also grow to love Krsna.
I have
come to the last station of my life. My journey is over- At
your Lotus feet. For I know you can take me to Krsna. You
will eternally be my guide- initiation or not!!
Please
forgive me if I have offended you or Mataji in any way.
Yours in service Allways
and Always
Dr Meena Samtani

From Melanie
I am
writing not because I am coming to visit, (I would love to,
but it will take me a while to get there on such short
notice from Canada), but because I felt the need to pay my
most humble respects and obeisances to His Grace Sriman
Sankarshan Das Adhikari, my spiritual guide, on this most
auspicious day. If you can ensure that He receives my
message I would greatly be forever in debt to whom ever is
reading this mail. I will be there in spirit because my
heart is there enjoying this day with all the blessed
devotees who are so very very fortunate to be there.
I
had no idea what Vyas Puja was all about, but I was
anxiously awaiting today to be informed. Then this morning
I forgot it was the day. So when I opened my mail for
"thought for the day" I was given a great surprised
blessing.
Again my most humble obeisances to His Grace Sriman
Sankarshan Das Adhikari, who I've come to respect and love
over the past months since I've been on the self realization
course. May He be blessed a million times over to spread
Krishna consciousness purely and honestly.
Your student, with love and
respects,

I am not young, and I have
had serious health problems which I sometimes allowed to
overwhelm me. But through your instructions and teachings I
have finally come to realize that this body will fail no
matter what, and is of no particular importance. True
happiness lies only in serving Guru and Gauranga and
chanting the Holy Names.
In the past I would plunge
into the depths of darkest depression. While that still
sometimes happens, I only need to remember your instructions
and chant the Holy Names and I remember my true nature.
Through your mercy,
kindness and compassion, you are spreading the message of
Krishna Consciousness throughout the world and thousands are
now listening and following your instructions just as you
have followed the divine instructions of your own beloved
Spiritual Master.
You write sometimes of the
austerities and difficulties you face during your travels to
spread Lord Caitanya’s mission, and I am sure there are some
of which I know nothing. But you always rely completely and
without question on the mercy of Lord Krishna. It is your
example of complete trust in the Lord which I try to follow.
I have seen you write many
times that you are unfit for the deep and profound duties
you undertake. Yet to me, and I think to your other
students, disciples and aspiring disciples, you are
compassion, kindness and wisdom personified. You are always
ready to answer the questions of those who write to you,
even when those questions are challenging and sometimes
insulting. You can always defeat the challengers with the
authority of Shastra. It is you who are most supremely fit
to undertake Lord Caitanya’s mission, and it is us, those
who flock to sit at your lotus feet, are unfit and in need
of your divine guidance.
I long to see you, and in
just one month I will be relishing the nectar of your
personal association. That month cannot pass quickly enough
so that I may offer obeisances at your lotus feet and serve
you in person and perhaps one day you will grant me the
greatest honor of becoming your disciple. My only desire is
to serve you lifetime after lifetime.
Your most fallen servant,
Bk. Murray
New Govardhana Mandir, Australia.

From Prema Bhakti dasa
Namah
Om Vishnupadaya Krishna presthaya bhutale
Srimate Sankarshan Das Adhikari iti namine
I
offer my respectful obeisances to His Grace Sankarshan Das
Adhikari
who is very dear to Lord Krishna having taken shelter at His
lotus feet.
Dear Gurudeva, O Merciful Master, O Friend to all in the
world,
On
the occasion of the celebration of the appearance day of the
spiritual master, it is the duty and pleasure of the
disciple to offer words of praise and honor to his guide and
counselor in the spiritual realm.
The
spiritual master is to be honored as much as the Supreme
Lord because he is His most confidential representative.
Just as the head of state will send a close associate to
another country to represent him as his ambassador,
similarly the spiritual master is the representative of the
Supreme Lord, because the spiritual master presents
transparently and in an exemplary fashion the interests of
the Supreme Lord. And just as the ambassador is treated with
the respect due to the actual head of state, so the
spiritual master accepts the honor and respect on behalf of
the Supreme Lord and His disciplic line of pure
representatives. Lord Krishna becomes very pleased when His
fearless representative is honored and cherished.
All
glories to you, dear Gurudeva, who are the personification
of devotional enthusiasm. By your fired-up, compassionate
dealings you are igniting so many hearts to the path of pure
bhakti! The fire of your devotion to the order and mission
of Srila Prabhupada is burning through all the boundaries of
nationality, race, gender and creed, and inspiring thousands
and millions to appreciate the beauty of Krishna
consciousness. It will surely bring about the world
spiritual revolution you so ardently pursue.
You
are a friend to all because you see beyond the material
coverings of the body, mind and false ego, directly piercing
through to the eternal soul inside, and you know without a
doubt that the soul's real happiness lies in reconnecting
with Lord Krishna and His dear associates in pure loving
devotion. You see clearly all this as the only remedy to the
pangs of material existence.
Your wisdom is truly great, and your simplicity charming.
Out of kindness, compassion, tolerance and friendliness, you
have taken to the path chalked out by Srila Prabhupada and,
along with you dear soul mate, Srimati Vishnupriya Mataji,
undertaken the trouble to travel all over the world,
wherever the will of Krishna will take you, without
discrimination.
You
are like a kind, lenient and loving father, and yet we see
that you are strict in your personal determination to
achieve the ultimate goal of life, unalloyed, unmotivated
devotion to the Supreme Lord and His associates, untinged by
any personal material motivation. By you strict personal
practices of chanting, studying, lecturing, and giving of
yourself personally to even the most insignificant,
neglecting no one, you have captured the essence of pure
bhakti. All glories, all glories, ALL GLORIES to you, O
Gurudeva!
My
prayer is to always "catch hold of your dhoti" and never let
go, by engaging in devotional service under your guidance.
May my only pleasure and anticipation be in seeking your
satisfaction, for the pleasure of a truly advanced devotee
is the greatest favor one can obtain.
Sincerely,
Prema Bhakti dasa Adhikari
Your servant in Niles, Michigan

make it your duty to answer to everybody's assignment or
questions. I am truly inspired by you. I am really grateful
to have your association. I was very happy to get an
instruction from you and will always try to follow it
because you are my guru and I couldn't ask for any

Ratnabahu

Dear Sankarshan Das Adhikari Maharaj!
Please accept my humble obeisances
All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
Glories to You!
I am very happy to use this opportunity to say a few words.
Actually to be a devotee of Lord Krishna is a big thing for
one who lives in a material world.
To be a devotee means
always come to Krishna and doesn't matter what is happening
to seek for shelter of His lotus feet.
The
system is such
that we should find and never ever again lose shelter of a
dear servant of Krishna,
a spiritual master.
For otherwise who
would show the example what
it
is to be one who
is
always with
Krishna. The
Spiritual master is not only giving the knowledge,
but a practical application and he feels devotion to
Krishna.
Thus even a small thing gives such a good result.
What is
the
use to compare to material things?
And he loves His
disciples and gradualy when their hearts become cleaner
they more and more reciprocate
the
love and true concern
of their beloved spiritual master.
In Bg 18.68,
Krishna says to Arjuna
ya idam paramam guhyam
mad-bhaktesv abhidhasyati
bhaktim mayi param kritva
mam evaishyaty asamsayah
"For one who explains this supreme secret to the devotees,
pure devotional service is guaranteed, and at the end he
will come back to Me."
This
applies
to all devotees.
For we are dependent on pure
Krishna Conciousness even more than
on
the
food we are eating
(of
course Krishna Prasadam)which
sustains
our material
body.
Rather pure devotion feeds
the actual self,
who is an
eternal
servant
of Krishna.
I sincerely wish You to take as much mercy of Lord Krishna
and all the devotees in Holy Vrindavan Dham,
which is ever
dear to Lord Krishna Himself as only You can understand.
Your servant
Ratnabahu
