God is a Little Blue Cowherd Boy
If we took a survey on a downtown sidewalk of a typical
American city asking people if they believed in God, many
would say "yes." But then if we asked them what they would
say if we told them that God is a little blue cowherd boy
who plays His flute in the bushes on the bank of the river
Yamuna in the moonlit night, they might call the police to
report that an escapee from a mental hospital is out roaming
the streets.
So how did His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada convince so
many thousands of well-educated young American men and women
that God is a little blue cowherd boy who plays His flute on
the bank of the river Yamuna in the moonlit night? The
answer is: conviction.
Because Srila Prabhupada was seeing God at every minute, he
could easily convince anyone who was honestly seeking the
Absolute Truth of the actual identity of God. While those
who are not sincere seekers will find it very odd, those who
are genuine will be astounded and extremely happy that they
have finally discovered God.
